2011 season ends

THUNDER went 1-1-1 in the district cup to close out the season. We had fun with an amazingly full roster on Sunday, we missed only Julian and Nate and Eddie was asking to play as well. Thanks to all the parents and players who participated this season. It was a bit of a topsy turvy season with our challenges of getting enough players to some games. But this was to be expected and somehow it worked out. Heck, we even went international to recruit Jarand from Norway, adding a fiery nordic element to the mix.

As always I enjoyed coaching the team - this was the 6th? season. And we'll roll into another select season next year - why not? We will be carrying forth a good core and should be able to pick some players from some other teams

No practice Monday - I'm under the weather.

Wednesday - practice 7:30-9 Conlin Field.

Saturday Game - be at Conlin at 11:30 for the 12:30 game against Bohemians (celebrating the mighty 7)

Sunday Game - start time is 2pm (be at Conlin field at 1pm)

Parkway game 11/5 is cancelled. To be rescheduled perhaps to 11/13.

Starting 11/7 - Practices shift to Conlin Field - 7:30pm-9pm M/W.

Week of Oct 24

THUNDER played well against the Eureka Warriors on Saturday - matching power with power particularly in the final 20 minutes of the game. PJ and Derek combined for the lone THUNDER score in the 1-2 loss.

This week we have practice but no game - a bye week.

Monday/Wednesday practices at 4:30 Cal Middle.
